K-1 Multi Martial Art
ACID SPORT is proud to work closely with MP & Silva to distribute the TV, IPTV, Internet and Mobile rights of the K-1 events up to 2013 in many European countries and in Israel. Archived events since 1993 are also available, as well as video rights (for DVD and video production).
K-1 is a professional martial arts-based competition started in 1993.
The “K” stands for Karate, Kickboxing, Kung Fu, Kakutogi, and Tae Kwon Do.
The “1” means the champion is truly “Number One”.
Hundreds of top ranked fighters from all over the world come to compete to be the best!
K-1 seasons run from January to December and are composed of:
K-1 Grand Prix:
16 heavy weight fighters compete for eight places in the K-1 World GP Finals.
8 events a year held on all continents.
K-1 Max:
the best middle weight fighters compete in this series started in 2002.
4 events per year held in Japan.
K-1 Dream:
Mixed martial arts (MMA). 6 events a year held in Japan.
K-1 Dynamite:
one unique event featuring star fighters of all three types of K-1 (Grand Prix, Max, Dream).
K-1 Battle Scramble:
it is the official 26 minute program with 27 episodes available every year. It features fights, interviews, highlights and behind-the-scenes footages.
